Children's Cottage Society

Since 1986 The Children’s Cottage Society has been dedicated to preventing harm and neglect to children and building strong families through support services, respite programs and crisis nurseries. We are a recognized leader in providing effective programs and services to help ensure Safe Children in Healthy Families.

At the Children's Cottage Society we have long understood the detrimental effects of prolonged exposure to negative experiences in a child's early development. We recognize that the solution is prevention and we aim to ensure that children in our community have strong foundations for healthy physical and emotional development. We offer non-judgemental programs and services aimed at helping parents through a crisis regardless of what their circumstances may be. We believe that asking for help is a sign of strength and we aim to work collaboratively with local agencies to ensure families are provided with the best services and resources to meet their needs.

Royal LePage Shelter Foundation

Royal LePage is the only Canadian real estate company with its own charitable foundation. The Royal LePage Shelter Foundation is Canada’s largest public foundation dedicated exclusively to funding women’s shelters and violence prevention programs.

Every dollar raised goes directly to helping the more than 50,000 women and children who are served each year by the shelters and support programs we fund. Since 1998, the Shelter Foundation has raised more than $27 million and currently supports 200 local women’s shelters and national partners. Our agents donate a portion of their commissions and Royal LePage offices across Canada hold local fundraising events. Our brokers, agents and staff also volunteer and provide in-kind goods to benefit the women and children residing in their local shelters.
